Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Holy Cross had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls, falling 73-47.

Holy Cross lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sofia Hamilton, who posted 15 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackie Capello, who put up 13 points.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will challenge St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Ryan, they have already played their next game, a 73-47 victory against the Lancers on the 28th.
