Basketball Game Preview: Canute Trojans vs. Hammon Warriors

Canute has won nine straight games at home, while Hammon has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Canute Trojans will welcome the Hammon Warriors at 8:00 p.m. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long.

Last Friday, Canute earned a 56-47 victory over Sentinel.

Meanwhile, Hammon was able to grind out a solid win over Lomega on Saturday, taking the game 48-41. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Raiders are ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hammon has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Canute, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Canute strolled past Hammon in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 59-44. Does Canute have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hammon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
