Softball Recap: South Plaquemines Wins Going Away Against Landry

South Plaquemines won the last time they faced Landry and things went their way on Monday too. The Hurricanes blew past the Buccaneers 22-13. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won five matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ke'Shawna Jackson was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Mahki'Yah Brown was another key player, going 4-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

South Plaquemines always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

South Plaquemines' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Landry, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

South Plaquemines does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Landry, they will take on Willow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
