Softball Recap: Catholic Takes a Loss

Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Archbishop Spalding this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Archbishop Spalding, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Catholic will head out on the road to take on McDonogh at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Spalding, they will welcome Mercy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
