Basketball Recap: Greendale Panthers vs. The Prairie School Hawks
If the Greendale Panthers were riding high off their 64-27 takedown of the West Allis Central Bulldogs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Greendale was outmatched by the Hawks on the road and fell 75-45. While losing is never fun, Greendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Hawks are ranked 27th).
Greendale's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Macey St Lawrence and Greta Dombrowski. St Lawrence almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds, while Dombrowski scored 15 points along with two steals. ashawnti strong was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Greendale's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for The Prairie School, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greendale will take on the Hustlin' Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Prairie School, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m.
