Basketball Recap: Meigs Takes a Loss

Meigs lost against Wellston back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Meigs Marauders lost 48-24 to the Wellston Golden Rockets. The Marauders just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Meigs' record now sits at 1-15. As for Wellston, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

Meigs will venture away from home to challenge Point Pleasant at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meigs is facing Point Pleasant at the right time seeing as Point Pleasant is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wellston, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Westfall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Wellston has lost five straight at home and Westfall four straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
