Football Recap: Duluth Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Duluth played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Brookwood Broncos 57-27. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-14.

Despite the loss, Duluth still got an impressive performance from Shamar Banner, who rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 257 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt.

Gary Chatman produced another solid performance rushing for 131 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 183 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes for Brookwood. The dominant performance also gave Chatman a new career-high in passer rating (151.4). Another player making a difference was Brayden Tyson, who rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Duluth now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Brookwood, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Duluth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 54-3 loss against North Gwinnett on the 30th. As for Brookwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 43-8 victory against Norcross on the 30th.
