Soccer Recap: Cristo Rey Has No Trouble Against Walnut Ridge

The Cristo Rey Cougar made easy work of the Walnut Ridge Scots on Tuesday and carried off a 6-2 win. It was an even better day for Matthew Roberts as he scored three goals for his team.

Cristo Rey has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matches. As for Walnut Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6-2.

Cristo Rey wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Patriot Prep Academy on the 6th. As for Walnut Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-3 loss against Beechcroft on the 2nd.
