Basketball Recap: Aubrey Hoffman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Emmanuel Christian over Calvary Christian

Emmanuel Christian lost against Calvary Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Emmanuel Christian Crusaders took a hard 33-17 fall against the Calvary Christian Patriots. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emmanuel Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aubrey Hoffman, who posted five points in addition to six boards and six steals. Hoffman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddie Oliver, who earned four points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Emmanuel Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Emmanuel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Calvary Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Emmanuel Christian will take on Sumter Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Emmanuel Christian is facing Sumter Christian at the right time seeing as Sumter Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Calvary Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
