Jonesboro's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Mt. Zion Bulldogs 21-3. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brianna Mason and Ariel Littlejohn did most of the damage at the plate: Mason got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs, while Littlejohn went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Jonesboro and Mt. Zion will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals will challenge rival Harris County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Zion is set to take on their familiar foe North Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
