Volleyball Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

Calhoun County lost against Horse Creek Academy on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Stallions. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7, 25-11.

Horse Creek Academy found their leader in freshman Lucy Taylor, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Taylor.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Horse Creek Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Calhoun County will challenge rival North at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Horse Creek Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Wagener-Salley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
