Garfield has gone 8-2 against Bishop Blanchet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Bears at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Garfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Eastside Catholic 13-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Ella Howard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Garfield got a massive performance out of Kaitlyn Washington, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Lissie Hogan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Garfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 16-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet made easy work of Eastside Catholic on Monday and carried off a 14-5 victory.
Bishop Blanchet pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Garfield, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Everything went Garfield's way against Bishop Blanchet when the teams last played last Thursday, as Garfield made off with a 22-12 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
