Basketball Recap: Millsap Takes a Loss

Millsap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Clifton Cubs and fell 72-45. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1271st, while the Cubs are ranked 419th).

Clifton had a senior duo take command as Maddox Hinojosa posted 17 points and Diego Rodriguez had 12 points. Hinojosa is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Williams, who earned eight points.

Millsap's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Clifton, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Millsap wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-41 loss against Keene on the 28th. As for Clifton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Rio Vista on the 28th.
