Atchison has gone a perfect 10-0 against Highland Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Phoenix will challenge the Scots. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Atchison and Sumner Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Phoenix blew past the Sabres 3-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Sabres: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-1, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Highland Park got the win against Wyandotte on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Highland Park got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 33-31, 25-13.

Atchison's victory bumped their record up to 6-14-3. As for Highland Park, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-3.

Atchison beat Highland Park 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
