Basketball Recap: Meade County Green Waves vs. Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers
Meade County easily dispatched Hancock County last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Meade County Green Waves fell just short of the Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers by a score of 51-49 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Green Waves have suffered since January 3rd.
When it comes to explaining why Meade County lost, don't look at Peyton Bradley. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-15 en route to 21 points and three steals. That was a full 42.9% of Meade County's points, marking the tenth time in a row Bradley has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Rider, who scored ten points.
Breckinridge County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rowan Radaszewski out in front who put up 11 points and four steals. Josie Mitcham was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.
