Volleyball Recap: Bishop Seabury Academy Takes a Loss

Bishop Seabury Academy lost against Hiawatha back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Seahawks fell 2-0 to the Red Hawks.

While Bishop Seabury Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Xeva Oldridge paced Bishop Seabury Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Oldridge got some help from Jillian Werner and her 13 assists. Presley Peterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bishop Seabury Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Hiawatha, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-14.

Bishop Seabury Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Atchison on the 20th. As for Hiawatha, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Jefferson County North on the 20th.
