Volleyball Recap: Santa Rosa Takes a Loss

Santa Rosa was the 3-0 winner over Tucumcari when they last played one another on October 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Rattlers on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 18-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Esperanza Martinez had an outrageously good game for Tucumcari as she had 25 digs and two aces. Those 25 digs gave Martinez a new career-high.

Santa Rosa's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Tucumcari, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Santa Rosa will square off against rival Clayton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tucumcari is set to face off against their familiar foe Pecos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
