Softball Recap: West Lincoln Takes a Loss

If West Lincoln was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Franklin County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Lincoln Bears came up short against the Pearl Pirates on Friday, falling 15-4. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Kaylee Wallace made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4.

West Lincoln has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Pearl and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

West Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Pisgah on the 1st. As for Pearl, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-4 victory against Brookhaven on the 1st.
