Hopewell came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the South Mecklenburg Sabres. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Sabres recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Laila Johnson paced Hopewell's offense, picking up four kills. Johnson got some help from Ella McLean and her two assists.
