Softball Recap: Elida Bulldogs vs. Wapakoneta Redskins
Elida and Wapakoneta squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Elida had to settle for second. They fell 8-5 to the Redskins. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lilly Sifrit was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
