Recap: Bell Griffins vs. School Without Walls Penguins

The Bell Griffins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight defeat. They fell 57-47 to School Without Walls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bell of the 53-51 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

School Without Walls was led to victory by Paul Joire and Isaac Wallsten. Joire dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Wallsten dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallsten has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chidiire Nwokwu, who scored six points along with two steals.

Bell has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for School Without Walls, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bell will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Eastern is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Griffins a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for School Without Walls, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bard aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since January 3rd.
