Basketball Recap: Charlottesville Gets the Win

Charlottesville won the last time they faced Amherst County and things went their way on Friday too. The Charlottesville Black Knights rang in the new year with a 61-49 victory over the Amherst County Lancers.

The win got Charlottesville back to even at 4-4. As for Amherst County, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Charlottesville is taking a road trip to square off against Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amherst County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
