Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Auburn Adventist

Auburn Adventist waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They managed a 48-44 win over the Sultan Turks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Auburn Adventist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Hoffman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, Hoffman is now averaging an impressive 10 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Poltoratskiy, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Auburn Adventist's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Sultan, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Rainier Christian in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at. As for Sultan, they will take on Cascade at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
