Baseball Recap: Grace Christian Victorious

Grace Christian's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against The Covenant Eagles by a score of 12-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Jimmy Alfonsin was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Cuddy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Grace Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Covenant only managed six hits.

Grace Christian's record now sits at 9-2. As for The Covenant, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Grace Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Asheville Christian Academy on the 28th. As for The Covenant, they have also already played their next game, an 18-2 win against Blue Ridge on the 25th.
