Volleyball Recap: Murphysboro Gets the Win

Murphysboro won the last time they faced Madison and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Devils came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Murphysboro took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7.

Macey Alexander had an outrageously good game as she had 31 assists and four aces. Those 31 assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zainah Amley, who had 13 digs.

Murphysboro's victory bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Murphysboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will take on Carrollton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
