Northwood Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took down the Ben Lippen Falcons 60-42. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Northwood Academy to victory were Maliyah Birch and Kylee Clarke. Birch dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards, while Clarke dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Birch's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jada Bates, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points.

Northwood Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Northwood Academy's record now sits at 9-0. As for Ben Lippen, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood Academy will host Burke at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Birch and Nathaya Phoenix. As for Ben Lippen, they will welcome Chapin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
