Basketball Recap: Tolman Wins High-Profile Game Against Burrillville

On Friday, Tolman faced Burrillville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tolman Tigers walked away with a 57-44 victory over the Burrillville Broncos. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

KJ Frederico was a one-man wrecking crew for Tolman as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. Another player making a difference was John Hilaire, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Tolman was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burrillville only racked up five assists.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Dichiaro, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Zanella, who had 11 points and three steals.

Tolman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Burrillville, they moved to 5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Tolman will head out to take on La Salle Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tolman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season. As for Burrillville, they will host Rogers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
