Basketball Game Preview: Dexter Bearcats vs. Perryville Pirates

The Dexter Bearcats will head out to challenge the Perryville Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dexter is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Dexter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-55 to New Madrid County Central.

Meanwhile, Perryville posted their closest victory since February 1st on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Scott City 56-54.

Perryville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Dexter came up short against Perryville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 63-53. Can Dexter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
