Volleyball Recap: Oak Hill Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Oak Hill hadn't done well against Minford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Oaks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. For the Oaks, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Oak Hill walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 20-25, 25-21.

Emma Figgins paced Oak Hill's offense, picking up 19 kills. Figgins got some help from Olivia Mckenzie and her 31 assists. Figgins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Oak Hill's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Minford, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Oak Hill has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against South Webster on the 27th. After both having extra time off, Minford and Eastern will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
