Baseball Game Preview: Capital City Cavaliers vs. Belle Tigers

The Capital City Cavaliers are taking a road trip to challenge the Belle Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital City's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Capital City's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to Jefferson City, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Belle didn't have quite enough to beat St. Elizabeth on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Belle now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Capital City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-20.

Everything went Capital City's way against Belle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Capital City made off with a 13-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
