Softball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials vs. Justice Wolves

The Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials will head out to take on the Justice Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Justice took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, who comes in off a win.

While Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's win against Annandale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colonials narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Atoms 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colonials have posted since May 13, 2024.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology got a massive performance out of Vivian Monaco, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-5. What's more, Monaco posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Tao, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Justice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-3 to Edison.

Justice's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology took their win against Justice in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 24-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
