Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Indians vs. Colerain Cardinals

The Fairfield Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Colerain Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 12.

Fairfield lost 13-1 to Badin on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Colerain suffered their biggest defeat since March 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 8-0.

Colerain got a good showing from Aaron Byrne, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Colerain, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Fairfield couldn't quite get it done against Colerain when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
