Football Recap: Wilcox Central Comes Up Short

Wilcox Central had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 66-0 loss at the hands of the Southside Panthers. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 62-6 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Southside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 44 points or more this season.

Kole Moody produced another solid effort throwing for 379 yards and five TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (170.1). ArMari Towns also helped with two scores in total.

Wilcox Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-38 loss against Sumter Central on the 24th. As for Southside, they have also already played their next game, a 74-22 victory against Thorsby on the 24th.
