Softball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-3 to the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. If the Firehawks were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Mountain Lions when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eldorado saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Orozco, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Sierra Vista, their record now sits at 2-3.

Eldorado has already played their next matchup, a 29-8 loss against Clark on the 2nd. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out to challenge Bonanza at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bengals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.57 runs per game on average), something the Mountain Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
