Basketball Game Preview: Squalicum Storm vs. Sehome Mariners

The Squalicum Storm will square off against the Sehome Mariners at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Squalicum knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Sehome likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Squalicum was able to grind out a solid victory over Nooksack Valley, taking the game 61-48.

Meanwhile, Sehome came into Thursday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bellingham 54-51.

The victory got Squalicum back to even at 9-9. As for Sehome, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Squalicum and Sehome were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Squalicum came up empty-handed after a 33-32 defeat.
