Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Durham Comes Up Short

After flying high against Durham School of the Arts on Monday, Riverside-Durham came back down to earth. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Durham Academy Cavaliers on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-4.

Londynn Cambell paced Riverside-Durham's offense, picking up five kills. Cambell got some help from Liesl Rehder and her four assists.

Durham Academy was led to victory by Alice Chen and Nafas Hayati. Chen had eight digs and three aces, while Hayati had eight digs.

Riverside-Durham's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Riverside-Durham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Cary on the 18th. As for Durham Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Wesleyan Christian Academy on the 22nd.
