Basketball Recap: Wesson Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hazlehurst

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesson). They skirted past the Hazlehurst Indians 43-40. This was payback for the Cobras, who suffered a 41-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dakota Williams, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Lejha Dixon, who scored eight points.

Wesson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Hazlehurst, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Wesson has already played their next game, a 44-9 victory against Salem on the 1st. As for Hazlehurst, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-32 win against Muddy River HomeSchool on the 2nd.
