Softball Recap: Harbor Teacher Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Harbor Teacher's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Fremont Pathfinders as they made off with a 15-5 win. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Lexi Cetina was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Briana Alagba, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Harbor Teacher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Harbor Teacher is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Fremont, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Harbor Teacher and Fremont will both be playing Port of Los Angeles the next time they take the field. The Monarchs will host the Polar Bears at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Pathfinders will host them at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
