Preview: Catskill Cats vs. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians
Catskill and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Catskill Cats will be playing at home against the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Catskill unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Watervliet.
Meanwhile, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 64-17 loss at the hands of Albany Academy for Girls. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk has not had much luck with Albany Academy for Girls recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Rae Napierski was Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Kylie Whalen held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Catskill has fallen quite a ways from their 23-1 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Catskill strolled past Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 60-42. Does Catskill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
