Volleyball Recap: Capital's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Capital waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sissonville Indians. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Capital easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-20.

Korri Marin paced Capital's offense, picking up ten kills. Marin got some help from Jada Fruit and her 19 assists. Fruit was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Capital's win bumped their record up to 8-9-2. As for Sissonville, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Capital didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against South Charleston on the 25th. As for Sissonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Ravenswood on the 25th.
