Danny Mercado Goes Supernova in Casa Grande Win

Starting off the list is Casa Grande's Danny Mercado, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mercado threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Unfortunately for Justin-Siena, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mercado. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mercado saw the Braves), he threw for 182 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes.

American Canyon Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Mason Harris

Mason Harris was instrumental in extending American Canyon's winning streak to seven on Friday. The matchup was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns.

American Canyon's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Harris will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Napa on Friday.

Lopez Came Up Big in American Canyon's 41-21 Win

Andre Lopez was instrumental in extending American Canyon's winning streak to seven on Friday. Lopez did his part (and then some), rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

If the past is any indication, Lopez could be in store for another big game when he takes on Napa on Friday. Lopez rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries the last time he and the Grizzlies duked it out back in October of 2023.
