For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plattsburgh and Saranac meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Hornets took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Plattsburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Saranac, their record is now 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plattsburgh will welcome Ticonderoga at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Sentinels have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Saranac, they will host Beekmantown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
