Softball Game Preview: Cahokia Comanches vs. Althoff Catholic Crusaders

Cahokia hasn't had much luck against Althoff Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Comanches will head out to challenge the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Cahokia has given up an average of 18.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cahokia is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Father McGivney Catholic on Monday, falling 25-13. Even if the Comanches couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Althoff Catholic came up short against East St. Louis on Tuesday and fell 8-5.

Kennedy Robinson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Althoff Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Cahokia might still be hurting after the 25-1 loss they got from Althoff Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Comanches avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
