Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Montgomery Knights vs. Paraclete Spirits

The Bishop Montgomery Knights will challenge the Paraclete Spirits at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bishop Montgomery lost 3-0 to La Salle on Tuesday.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23, 27-25.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paraclete, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Cathedral on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Spirits in their matchups with the Phantoms: they've now won four in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Cathedral scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Bishop Montgomery's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-9. As for Paraclete, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.

Bishop Montgomery couldn't quite get it done against Paraclete when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Bishop Montgomery avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
