Softball Recap: Peninsula Catholic Victorious

Peninsula Catholic won the last time they faced Hampton Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights walked away with a 10-6 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Alyssa Casey was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Those 18 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Dent, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

Peninsula Catholic's record is now 11-5. As for Hampton Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Peninsula Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Isle of Wight Academy on the 5th. Hampton Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
