Volleyball Recap: Armijo Triumphs

On Friday, the Armijo Royals narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Foothill Mustangs 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Armijo got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 27-25, 24-26, 25-18, 17-25, 15-12.

Demaria Harge paced Armijo's offense, picking up 15 kills. Harge got some help from Sir El and his 13 assists. Finally, Jacob Hansen kept Armijo's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Armijo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Foothill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Armijo has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Burbank on the 10th. As for Foothill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fairfield on the 10th.
