Basketball Recap: Philo Electrics vs. Tri-Valley Scotties
The Philo Electrics's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-37 loss at the hands of Tri-Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Philo has scored all season.
Several Electrics players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Wright, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Stoner, who scored six points.
Philo dropped their record down to 6-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tri-Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. New Lexington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Electrics in Ohio (the Panthers are ranked 158th, while the Electrics are ranked 636th). As for Tri-Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Irish at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
