Baseball Recap: Leonia Takes a Loss

The matchup between Leonia and Park Ridge on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Lions came up short against the Owls, falling 15-5. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Leonia and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Park Ridge, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leonia will welcome Weehawken at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Park Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wallington at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Owls 2.3, the Panthers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
