Baseball Recap: New Brighton Lions vs. Northgate Flames
After only two runs in their last match, New Brighton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northgate on Tuesday. The Lions blew past the Flames 16-4. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Flames recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Carter Jackson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jackson was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for New Brighton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.
