Volleyball Recap: Mogollon Starts off Right with Win over Mayer

Mogollon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mayer Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-6, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mogollon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Mosley, who had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave Mosley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Hoops, who had nine digs and one assist.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mogollon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against St. David on the 29th. As for Mayer, they are taking a road trip to take on Salome at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
